What do I need before buying a bunny?
I recommend using a wire bottom cage or hutch. I use and love 24 x 24 pet lodge and dumor cages.Dog x pens/ play pens make great cages if you are wanting something larger and indoors. I dont recommend solid bottom cages for lionheads.. If litter box training you will need a large open cat litter box and i recommend Equine stall pine pellets from Tractor supply for the litter. . FeedWe will need a solid brown pellets food with NO nuts, seeds , fruit or vegetables peices added. I use kalmbach 18% best in show feed.Rabbits need hay as well Timothy works best but orchard grass hay is great as well. I don't recommend alfalfa as it can cause issues in bucks (males) . Water I recommend and use water bottles but water bowls can be used as well.
